To tidy up. The person on call is to ensure that on his or her day the room is kept stocked with tea, coffee, paint, and so forth, and is tidy. This is a daily task.

The Sign-up Sheet

You will need to devise a large chart (on a whiteboard, flipchart, spreadsheet) dividing each day into one-hour slots, where people can sign up to use the room. Post this at the back of every public meeting in the buildup to the prayer room, with a persuasive person encouraging people to sign up (don't just expect this to fill up by itself). At all other times the chart should be displayed in the prayer room so people know who is coming to relieve them and so others can come and sign up for slots during the week. It's becoming more and more common to make a sign-up sheet available online.

Prepare the Room

Prior to the launch, the prayer room will need to be "interior-designed" to help focus prayers and facilitate creativity and prayer (as outlined in part 1). You recruited a team to think and pray about this in the Planning Stage. Now it's time to let them loose!
